                               Covid-19 Reopening for Virginia Avenue Church of God

With the recent announcement from Maryland’s Governor Hogan that our state has moved into phase 1 of Maryland’s Roadmap to Recovery, churches are now permitted to open once again for in person worship, and hold services at no more than 50% of our capacity.
 
While we are excited to be able to worship together again, we are committed to your health and safety at VACOG. With that in mind we will adhere to all federal, state, and local guidelines for in-person worship services, beginning on Sunday May 24, 2020 at 9:00am and 11:00am. Sunday school, and children’s church is suspended temporarily.
 
*livestream services will continue for the 11:00am Sunday service on our Facebook page and website.
 
*Midweek Bible study will continue on our Facebook livestream only, until further notice, Wednesday’s at 7:00pm.
 
*In person worship services will begin on Sunday May 24, 2020 at 9:00am and 11:00am; limited to 50% of our seating capacity or 250 people per service.

                                                                                                                       In Person Services 

For your safety and the safety of others we have sanitized and cleaned the church facilities. Between services the facilities will be cleaned and sanitized by our clean team for the next service time. To allow the team time to clean the facility, the doors will remain locked until fifteen minutes prior to the service.
 
-Please refrain from attending the in-person service if you are ill or any in your immediate family are ill. If you have a fever or cough please stay home.
 
-For your health and safety and that of others, if you are attending the in-person service, it is  highly recommended that you wear a mask and keep it on during the service.
 
-In order to comply with all regulations and guidelines we must practice social distancing during services. This means that a 6-7-foot distance must be kept between you and others who are not in your immediate family or household. To help us keep our social distance and abide by the 50% limit, every other pew will be taped off.
 
-Hand sanitizer is available in the foyer upon entering and exiting.
 
-Please utilize the center double doors for entry into the sanctuary, and the side doors for exit only.
 
-Doors are designated and marked for entry and exit into the building.
 
-Please refrain from congregating in the foyer so that the clean team can sanitize prior to the next service.
